Gifts of the Heart – Health Kits
These health kits help meet the day-to-day simple health and hygiene needs of Iraqi children with items currently in short supply.
Seal all items in a one-gallon plastic bag with a zipper closure:
One hand towel
One washcloth
One comb
One metal nail file or nail clipper
One bar of soap (bath size)
One toothbrush
One tube of toothpaste (4-7 ounces)
Six band-aids
Packing and sending the Kits:
Complete Health Kits should be packed in boxes and secured with packing tape.
Please do not include messages or decorate the Kits with religious symbols. These Kits are shared with people based on need, regardless of religion.
Clearly mark the outside of the box with the contents.
Do not include money in the box.

Gifts of the Heart – School Kits
These school kits help meet the educational needs of the children in the Hazarajat region in Afghanistan’s central Highlands.
Pack these items in the cloth bag and secure the contents with the closure:
One pair of blunt scissors
One 30-centimeter ruler (12”)
One pencil sharpener
Six new pencils with erasers
One large eraser
One box of 24 crayons
Twelve sheets colored construction paper
Pads or notebooks of ruled paper approximately 8 1/3” x 11” containing 150-200 sheets of paper
One 12” x 14” (approx.) cloth bag, with cloth handles and a closure (Velcro, snap, or button)
